Our church will gather for a Vespers Service at 6:00 pm on  Wednesday, July 14 at the Walk by Faith Christian Camp located at 5390 Mountain View Road in Hays, NC.  (right behind the Ruritan’s Building which is next to Mountain View Elementary School).  The camp has a covered eating area, indoor bathrooms, and even an air-conditioned clubhouse.  The main feature is a beautiful pond which will allow for fishing but not swimming.  There is a fairly rugged walking trail around the pond as well.  If you wish to come out a little early to partake of the nature activities fell free to do so.

Mike Bullock will be providing ALL THE FOOD for the event.  He will serve BBQ sandwiches, hotdogs, and all the fixings.  So that he may prepare an adequate amount of food, please call Katie in the church office at 336-838-5197 to make a reservation NO LATER THAN JULY 7.

Our Eddie and Lou Pendry are on the Board of Directors of the Camp and we are getting to use it free of charge; however, for those inclined to give, we are collecting a Love Offering to help pay for the incredible restoration of the site that is currently underway.  This is a purely voluntary donation to be collected on site during the event.

I am excited for us to be together in resuming this wonderful FBC summer tradition.

Blessings,  Bert

Butterfly Crafts for Nursing Home Residents

Children and families of First Baptist Church North Wilkesboro made and distributed over 160 butterfly crafts to Residents of Villages of Wilkes and Rose Glen Manor this summer. Proverbs 3:5 was printed on the back, to remind them to "Trust in the Lord." These were made so residents would know they haven't been forgotten during this pandemic. Here is Gracie Bare holding some of the crafts that were given to Tina Watkins of Villages of Wilkes.

Celebrating Our Covid Heroes!

Thank you essential workers!

Thank you teachers, office administrative staff, bus drivers & cafe staff at our adopted school, C.C. Wright! Look at these amazing TIGERS painted by our talented church members and thank you Tiffany for your hard work putting on the ribbons and protective coating (and some of the lettering!)  We appreciate all you do!  We hope you enjoy these little reminders of how important you are to us!
