Little Free Pantry
Our Deacons In-House Missions Team has created a sign up link so that we can keep our Little Free Pantry stocked each week. It is clear that this important ministry is being utilized by the community, and we want to be sure there is food available if someone should have a need. You may sign up using this link. Thank you, church family, for your care and compassion. There is a link at the top of this page, or click here: https://volunteersignup.org/XK7JT

We are days away from Valentine’s Day! While we may not have a dozen roses for you, you should know how much we admire and appreciate you for the way you show up for your kids every day!
February Series: Miraculous
February Memory Bible Verse: "You are the God who performs miracles;
you display your power among the peoples."
Psalm 77:14
When we visit an aquarium, we find a whole world filled with sea creatures, plants, and more. Some of the discoveries we've made about what lives underwater can seem almost like a miracle. But it's not just under the sea where miracles happen—Jesus used water in some of his most well-known miracles! In this 4-week series, kids will learn about some of the incredible miracles Jesus performed to help people grow closer to God. As they do, they'll learn how Jesus does everything out of love, calls us to follow him, knows what we need, and most of all, that Jesus can do anything!
I know it is only January, however, be on the lookout for
opportunities to help prepare for VBS!
VBS dates are June 8-10.
If you would like to serve in the Nursery, please click the "Nursery Volunteer Sign-Up" button below, or also located at top of the website.
If you are a first-time volunteer, a background check will be sent to you via secure email when you sign up. Thank you!
First Baptist Youth
Reverend Patricia Turner
Associate Pastor
February is upon us and we have several things planned for our youth. February 9 is a big day for many with the Superbowl game. Our youth will celebrate with a party at 5:00 p.m at the Youngs house. Youth and Parents are asked to bring an appetizer or a dessert and a 2 liter drink. Before we fellowship and socialize together over a game our youth will be collecting money after worship for our SOUPER Bowl Sunday. This mission's money will help feed those in our community who do not have food daily and get to celebrate as we are privileged to do. As the youth stand at the doors after worship or when you attend lunch please support the St. Paul's Crisis Ministry meals so others receive a good meal.
Also in February five youth, Camden Higginbotham, Noah Horton, Blake Huffman, Harper Jordan and Ainsley Young will join the North Wilkesboro Presbyterian Church for a winter retreat. The curriculum to be studied is "Faith In An Anxious World" Please pray for these youth and for their time together but most importantly for their learning as they process this material to help with their daily lives and faith.
As always please continue to pray for all our youth daily. As you see them please ask them about their lives and offer encouragement and support. They need trusted adults in their lives who they can always talk to and ask for support and prayers.
Blessings,
Patricia
Our youth meet at a new time: 3-5 p.m. on Sundays and 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Please note these changes for the new year. Bible Study and worship will continue at the same time.
