New to First Baptist?

Dear newcomers,

We extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to our church family! Here at FBC there are plenty of ways to get involved. We encourage you to join us for worship on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.  Bible Study for all ages begins at 9:45 a.m. Youth Group for grades 6-12, Children's Ministry ages 4-11, nursery available for ages birth to 3 years during both Bible study and worship time.

On the fifth Sunday of the month we have a Church-wide fellowship breakfast in place of Bible Study in our Wayland Fellowship Hall. Please join us!

We would love for you to fill out a visitor card located in the back of pew in front of you, and bring it to the Sanctuary entrance at the end of service and receive a gift which includes information about upcoming events.

Blessings,

You may sign up using this link. Thank you, church family, for your care and compassion.  There is a link at the top of this page, or click here: https://volunteersignup.org/XK7JT

Children's Ministry

Jamie Higginbotham, Children's Director

Attention Parents!

The Children's Ministry is starting a new way of recognizing when our First Kids are "caught taking care of God's world." When we see children doing such things as being kind to others, being helpful to church members, helping keep our area clean, or assisting a new member, they receive a punch on their card and when they receive 10 punches, they receive a special gift. I want our families and congregation to get involved in recognizing our First Kids as well. If you see something one of our First Kids does that you feel should be recognized, please reach out to Jamie and let her know. We want our children to know that their actions are just as important and seen as their adult counterparts.

During Sunday School and Children’s Church in July and August, First Kids will learn how to tell their JESUS JOURNEY, their GOD STORY. This helps with the 4th part of discipleship and spiritual habit.
We are excited that our First Kids will gain the ability and confidence to Share/Show their story!

We had so much fun at Vacation Bible School!
Thank you for being a part of this amazing experience! GOD IS YOUR FRIEND FOREVER!
